Apple Intelligence includes ChatGPT

Weekly news from the AI world

Good Day, Humans.

In today's Newsletter, we include:

Let’s get started!

Apple Intelligence is coming in November.

Apple Intelligence will include ChatGPT

Apple has unveiled its long-awaited suite of AI tools, Apple Intelligence, which will be available on Apple devices later this year. This update promises to transform Siri into a smarter and more useful assistant, capable of performing actions on behalf of the user and enhancing the overall experience.

In short: Apple promises that Siri has become much more useful.

First, iOS 18 will integrate with ChatGPT later this year, transforming Siri into a know-it-all conversationalist. This means more natural conversations with Siri (and you will also be able to type to it). However, the real change is that Siri will now be able to act on your behalf in your apps.

Why it matters

Apple is literally putting AI in the hands of more than a billion people, most of whom will likely use AI for the first time. Apple’s AI strategy is different: it aims to solve routine problems and make things faster and easier for everyone on the devices and apps they use all the time. Simpler, but it avoids common AI pitfalls.

Elon is not happy with Apple Intelligence

Elon Musk was quick to react to Apple’s announcement: He threatened to ban Apple devices in his companies, calling the Apple and OpenAI alliance “an unacceptable security violation.”

Luma is the new king of AI video.

Luma AI Revolutionizes Video Creation

Luma AI, a rising star in the artificial intelligence scene, has made waves with the release of its "Dream Machine" technology. This innovative tool allows users to create high-quality videos from simple text descriptions, potentially revolutionizing content creation for businesses and individuals alike.

Luma's Dream Machine operates on a powerful AI model trained on vast amounts of video data. Users simply provide a text prompt detailing their desired video, and the system generates a realistic and visually compelling clip within minutes. This user-friendly approach removes technical barriers, allowing anyone to become a video creator, regardless of prior experience.

Dream Machine by Luma AI is now available.

Why it matters

Dream Machine stands out among the growing text-to-video models. While others are preliminary previews like Sora and Kling, Dream Machine is ready to use now, offering 30 free videos per month. We still need to see reactions from market leaders RunwayML and Pika Labs, but for now, Dream Machine is the king.

You can now personalize your images on Midjourney

Every time you write a prompt, there is much that remains "unspoken." That's where algorithms come in, filling in the blanks with their own generic "preferences." By allowing personalization, Midjourney learns what you like so that it’s more likely to fill in the blanks with your tastes.

How does it learn your tastes?

Currently, model personalization learns from votes in pair ranking and images you like from the explore page. You need to have approximately 200 rankings/likes for the feature to work.

How do I use Model Personalization?

Simply type --p after your prompt. Midjourney will complete it with your personal code.
